Im Brief an die Thessalonicher lesen wir

1Th 4:16
Denn der Herr selbst wird mit gebietendem Zuruf, mit der Stimme eines Erzengels und mit der Posaune Gottes herniederkommen vom Himmel, und die Toten in Christo werden zuerst auferstehen;

Warum "die Stimme eines Erzengels", hat dies eine besondere Bedeutung oder ist dies bildlich zu verstehen? Vielen Dank für Eure Hilfe.

zu Wort Erzengel hatten wir da schon mal was
Es ist halt so halbfertighalbpatzig übersetzt.
Der erste Wortteil wurde aus dem griechischen ins lateinische und dann vereingedeuscht, dann kam das für uns heute in diesem Falle meist falsch verstandene Wort "Erz" heraus. Man kann da kaum mehr was machen, ausser man schreibt sich eben ein selbst eine "Anpassung". Ich passe es so an: "Hauptengel"

Die Übersetzung "Erzengel" ist eigentlich nicht so falsch. "Erz" ist der Grundstoff sehr vieler Mineralien, also ein Ausgangsstoff, der Anfang von Vielem.
Ohne Erz gäbe es Vieles nicht.
Ich bin überzeugt, daß auch das Erz geschaffen wurde, von wem wohl.

Denn von ihm und durch ihn und für ihn sind alle Dinge; ihm sei die Herrlichkeit in Ewigkeit! Amen.

Ich weiß nicht, ob es sich wirklich so verhält, aber ich sehe es für mich so. Und möge die Stimme des Erzengels bald erschallen.

das ist ein schöne Erklärung, kein Problem. Viele denken da ja auch an den Mineraloberbegriff "Erz".
Das griechische Wort meint aber "Erster" "Ur" "Anführer"

Es kommt auch vor in dem Archaeopterix. Man könnte dann auch sagen:
"Erzvogel" man meint aber "Urvogel".
So in etwa halt.

Oh, wie freue ich mich, daß ich so einfach gestrickt bin. Ich beherrsche außer ein wenig Englisch keine Fremdsprache, für meinen Gebrauch genügt mir die Bibel in der alten
Elberfelder Übersetzung, da bin ich mit groß geworden und versuche danach zu leben. A b e r das Alles hat den Vorteil, daß ich mit weniger Verwirrungen durch andere
Übersetzungen und Ausdrucksformen zu kämpfen habe. Ganz frei und unbekümmert lese ich im Wort Gottes an mich, in meiner Sprache, und bin schon recht alt damit geworden
und habe auch keine Minderwertigkeitsgefühle und Mangelerscheinungen, und bin auch nicht mehr neidisch auf die welche mehr wissen und können, profitiere aber davon.

Mein Grundsatz ist:

..begnüget euch mit dem, was vorhanden ist, denn er hat gesagt: "Ich will dich nicht versäumen, noch dich verlassen";
